Where Art Thou, Helio?

Is it me or has a certain two-time Indianapolis 500 Champion and ABC "Dancing With The Stars" Champion fallen off the end of the Earth? The man was a sensation less than a few months ago when he sashayed into the hearts and minds of millions of Americans. He is arguably the most charismatic, extroverted Indycar driver ever. He is one of a handful of drivers who will realistically compete for the 2008 Indycar Series Championship as well as the 2008 Indianapolis 500 Crown.

What's the story? Why isn't this man criss-crossing the nation on a promotional tour? Why isn't this man on ESPN's PTI or a host of other shows? Why no promos on ABC or ESPN? Celebrity pro-am golf tourneys? Playboy interview? Ringing the NYSE closing (death) knell?

Apparently he is also doing some reporting for ET on the new DWTS season..I don't know if this gig is just for this week or for the season (ends early May). Either way it gets he and the IRL some exposure.

Helio was interviewed on DWTS stars tonight. They showed clips of him at vaious tracks including Indy and Chicagoland tonight on ET and mentioned he would be their correspondent.
