  • Portland 08 might happen

I think Portalnd will be on the IRL schedule or ALMS schedule this year.

They just announced a Star Mazda Double header is still going on for the last weekend in July at PIR as originally planned before merger.

IRL has that weekend open as so does ALMS.

Doubt it. Star Mazda shows itself as the "feature".

If it is, I'm there. I'd love to see that race continue.

What happened to the promotor for this race? The Indycar schedule is open that weekend yet nobody at PIR is complaining that the race isn't on the IRL calendar.

That is the weekend of the Brickyard 400. Yes, the IRL could still run that weekend, but I'm not sure if TG wants to since he would have some obvious scheduling conflicts arising.

Interesting that both Star Mazda and the Atlantics are considering themselves the "feature" at Trois Rivieres.

Word was Edmonton would be bumped back to this weekend, and run on Saturday so as not to go against the Brickyard 400 on Sunday.

Right. I seriously doubt they'll run IRL against the Brickyard.

                      Maybe early May would work?

Jim, they do it in NASCAR, why couldn't they do it in the IRL?

Atlantics might "consider" themselves the feature, but they currently aren't even officially on the bill.

I hope Atlantics can hang around. The cars they are using now are great.

Atlantics is a great series with lots of up and coming talent. Really good competition too with the high car count. Top notch racing and yeah, those swifts are a nice looking rig.
