  • IMS Hall of Fame Museum License Plate

The Motorspeedway tried to change my IMS Hall of Fame License Plate by putting BY (Brick Yard) on it instead of HF (Hall of Fame). Sorry but Indianapolis Motor Speeday & the Brick Yard arent the same thing.

There is a difference between the HF and BY plate. The BY's get to kept their same plate number for as long as they continue to pay the fee. HF will most likely have to change number each time you get a new one. They (IMS) wanted to do reserve numbers with HF but the Indiana BMV would not allow that and said only way to do that was using BY. Just so you know they are basically the same plate just Indiana BMV making them put BY so people could kept their same number for as long as they want. My family is BY979, BY943, BY938.
