Nascar Fans At IRL Races??-Richmond

Is it me? Maybe so, but the last couple of years, I'm tired of seeing " Nascar--Banner, and Flags" at an IRL Race. I think, We (OW) folks have to take a stand.

Am I the only one who is bothered by this?

Doesn't upset me one bit. In fact, it's just someone to whom I can hoist a cold one to, and say "Welcome aboard, pretty good stuff ain't it!!" Maybe with that attitude, there will be an ICS flag on that pole at the next Nascar race. Actually, I've seen it happen.

Here's a thought, fly IRL and ICS driver flags every where you can, tell a friend to do the same, give vendors a reason to well.......sell the stuff. Who knows, might catch on??

Every year I camp for the Indy 500, the IRL race at Kentucky, the Brickyard 400, the Kansas Nascar Race, and the fall Talladega Nascar race. I put up 3 flags- a Champ Car flag, a Robby Gordon Flag, and an IMS flag. If nothing else, it confuses the Dale Jr. fans.

Any race fan in the stands for an IRL race is better than not having them. If they want to promote NASCAR while they are there so be it.

I would much rather see the stands full and half of them be wearing #8 or #88 t-shirts than the stands virtually empty!

NASCAR fans at IRL races?

Unless they are outside staging an anti-Danica protest, or they drink warm beer or something, they should be welcomed with open arms.

The minute someone starts to watch more than one series, they become RACING fans to me instead of "series" fans, which I honestly find very odd and quite strange.

And the bottom line is that having more "RACING" fans is a good thing.

You know what? Thinking about it.....it really IS HARD to find a flag representing an ICS "Driver", "Team", or BOTH for that matter. These teams need to make these things READILY AVAILABLE and I guarantee people would buy them.

About the only thing I've been able to find is a Penske Flag.
