    1. I recall Robin Miller reporting (SpeedTV report around Feb 10) that Motegi officials were willing to either move the race to August or postpone a year. So why then can't they do that if that report were true?

    2. In looking at an IRL car from the Miami test, these cars have a lot less surface area for sponsors. Especially compared to ******. I predict that the new chassis design in 09 will have more surface area in their design. Anyone agree?

Miller was right, Motegi was willing, but the FIA wouldn't approve the switch due to proximity with the Japanese GP at Fuji Speedway in October.

I don't think you can get any more surface area and still call it an IndyCar.

^ Unless you added those boards that supposedly made the air flow to the rear wing more lamiar that were popular in the mid-90's, whatever they were called.

                  this?

i remember someone referring to it as a "fan fin" because it prominently displayed the car # for easy viewing at speeds.

I haven't looked at one of those in a while. How the heck was the driver supposed to see anything to their sides? For some reason it looks really long too, like it could be a two seater long.

Oh my god, what has happened to an indycar since the 90's, yucky. I hope the new car gets back to the way it use to look. But there is more space on the cars today because they are so much taller.

Are the Dallaras shorter than the Lola/Penske/Reynards from the the mid-90s? It could just be that they are taller and therefore look shorter, I suppose...

Teams only need sponsors with short names so they can use larger letters.
