Firestone has brought some tires to the test with white sidewalls. The only picture I have been able to find is from TSO. But, they were on TK's car at some point today. Champ Car had run the alternate compound Redwalls for the last few years, is this concept being brought to the ICS?

As a firestone engineer was quoted as saying, the whitewall tires are not an option tire, but rather just a cosmetic change to "bring excitement".

From the one picture on TSO, the whitewalls look pretty sweet.
Hopefully some teams will elect to use the whitewalls and others will use the regular sidewalls to create some differentiation. It might also be an easy way to tell apart teammates, like on the Penske cars.Comment
