  • Donnie Beechler.......

I was able to speak to some media people from the city of Springfield last night, and the Beechler saga came up.

As they understand, nothing with Foyt is set in stone-apparently there are some suitors out there with some money in hand, considerably more than our friend Donnie could raise, but not necessarily better performers in the long run.

The name of Greg Ray has surfaced recently, and the name of one Al Unser Jr has been bantered around, with perhaps some help from a certain St. Louis brewery.

Speculation is that if Donnie is does not get the 14 ride, he might have a one off with Tex for the 500.

    No real additional news her.

Amazing, Foyt has a "funded" car yet still would like some money brought to the table.

Now does this ring a bell as to why Salazar was driving the car last year?

I think Foyt is using a lot of Harrah's cash toward his Cup team.

Foyt almost landed Bud last time around so I bet the Unser Jr/Foyt combination is getting some serious thought.

Tough break for Beechler. Talk about deserving drivers, I would put him before Dismore and Ward.

      Ooops, hot news!!
I told you guys, even Eliseo it’s not sure about his teammate…

For me it’s imposible that Ward comeback. He was released from Foyt Enterprises, basically for a good performance of Eliseo (season 2000) and he make some baby mistakes with the 14 car…

About Dismore...I prefer no comment (I try to be friend with the Trackforum people)

      Cheers!!

IMHO , Donnie showed more ( in some cases , more with less )last year than Dismore , Ward , or Ray . I know $$$$ has a lot to do with it , but Beechler should get the ride .

Donnie has more talent is his little finger than all the other names associated with Foyt together.

              He is the real deal!

Now I do think it would be a mistake to lose Beechler. But do I think Beechler has more talent in his little finger than Jr.? No Way.

                            OK, his hand. ;

Foyt likes hungry drivers who will listen to him, trust him, and mash it. Donnie can do that. Unser will not.
