Well the excitement is in the air. Time to pull the camper out of the garage and head to Gainesville.

    I like that.
    It's a brand new day.

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...

Enjoy yourself nitro. I'll be watching from my livingroom Sunday evening.

well friday was rained out boo hiss.

saturday I saw a 330 mph top fuel pass from the fence at the 1000ft mark. It was so fast I couldn't tell you what color the car was. It was the red Budweiser King btw....

Sunday packed up the popup camper and drove home and watched the race on tv. Bad idea, especially the day after watching it live. It's , I don't know,,,

            like kissing your sister.

or taking a shower with a raincoat on.

            or a sauna fully dressed.

or heck I might as well say it, having sex with a condom.

you know it's a good thing but you just can't feel it.

The new tower at gainesville was quite impressive. The racing on sunday was good early but then it got hot. And with a fairly green track thanks to friday's rain, there was a lot of tire smoke.

Angelle Sampey's new look was awesome. Dark black hair to match the teams colors(green and black)

Tony Pedregon showed what he's made of again, winning so soon after that boomer at Pomona.

There was a top alky dragster there sponsored by Dunkin Donuts. they had a mobil dunkin store selling coffee wow. Luxury. no more track oil in the morning.

Great young driver Diana Harker from down under. Talked to her for 10 minutes in the rain sunday .

That left lane on Sunday was wicked. The PS guys had their hands full. Couldn't have been more than a handful of round wins from that lane. The rain must've played havoc because that place is usually quite balanced.

Nice to see Tony Pedregon bounce back but I was really pulling for Gary Densham. Hope he can find the $$ the keep going.

Funny how ESPN can hype the start of the PS Bike season then show the first round in all of about 35 seconds. Maybe more of those bikes would have full sponsors if they got just a bit more coverage.

Tony Schumacher just looks scary. That team has owned the decade in TF so far.

And I've said this before. Easily the best announcing crew in motorsports. Yes, even Mr.Page.
