Who's your pick Karam or Chaves? Both impressive on ovals but Karam has a 16 point advantage. Should be an awesome finale!!

From my calculations if Karam finishes in the top three he automatically wins the championship even though Chaves wins the race. I don't think Indy Lights rewards most laps lead or pole positions so all the points come from where you are at the end of the race. The tough thing is that Chaves needs to finish fourth or higher to to get a shot at the title since Karam receives 18 points even if he ends up last.

The pressure without a doubt is on Chaves shoulders to perform. Even if Karam doesn't finish on the podium as long as he plays it safe and stays ahead of Chaves his chances at the championship is pretty good.

I've said this before but I want Karam to win the championship. I followed him ever since he raced in USF2000 and got majorly screwed by Andretti and was lucky to land a ride as Schmidt. It's poetic justice in many ways. Plus another American winning the Lights title is also very nice.

I too would like to see the American win it and I think it's cool that he is the youngest in the series. According to his press release on his website he has never finished off the podium in all of his 11 oval races so I think he has a pretty good shot. I can't see Sage just wanting to finish 3rd though from I have seen in the past. What happened at AA with him?

Well, I have to admit it's my own interpretation but earlier this year Andretti decided to sign Zach Veach alone which left Sage Karam on the outside looking in. There were rumors that Zach and Sage weren't exactly the best of friends and that affected Andretti's decision. Sage was thrown into limbo but in what seemed to be a miracle he was signed by Sam Schmidt months later (I think it was after he tested for the Schmidt team in a Lights car). Some feel that Sage had a line with Schmidt all along but I don't think so because there was a large concern as to whether fans would see Sage in 2013.

So again I'm an outsider looking in but according to the stories I've read this seems to be the way things panned out.

What happened at AA from what I was told last weekend was AA took the quick and guaranteed checks and filled their FIL seats. Left Karam without a ride. Sam found a way to make it work. Looking like Sam = smart man.
Unsure if this is the true story but sounds good to me.

My vote is Karam. I like Gabby well enough, but I've been around Sage and his family enough over the years that it tips the scaled for me.
