Pablo Donoso Rocks at The Milwaukee Mile!!

Several Firestone Indy Lights teams test today at The Milwaukee Mile in preparations for the Milwaukee 100. Team Moore Racing's Pablo Donoso was quickest today!.

Pablo Donoso toma el control de las prلcticas con su nuevo equipo Team Moore Racing en el َvalo de Milwaukee, superando a destacados como Matos, Luyendick, Wilson, Battistini, Simmons entre otros.

Rafael Matos sufriَ un accidente bastante fuerte en que incluso rompiَ el monocasco de su auto tratando por bastante rato de mejorar el tiempo del chileno. Arie Luyendik, Jr, compaٌero de Matos en Andretti Racing, también se accidentَ, sin consecuencias. Matos tendrيa complicaciones en una mano.

En tanto Donoso tuvo una rلpida adaptaciَn al auto confirmando todo lo bueno hecho el aٌo pasado con Foyt Racing en la Silver Crown. Se mantuvo sَlido primero casi toda la jornada y ya se viene la "Freedom 100" en Indianلpolis, el 23 de mayo.

Pablo Donoso desde Milwaukee: "Fue un dيa muy bueno. Estamos contentos con el equipo. Quedé primero y el auto anduvo excelente. Hicimos simulaciَn de carrera también y estuve competitivo. Espero que tengamos buenos resultados en las carreras que vienen pero sin duda queda harto trabajo. No hay descanso en esto y no significa que voy a llegar y ganar todas. Hay que ser mesurados e ir con calma. De todas formas es un buen inicio". More news soon.

Where does that translate that Pablo was QUICKEST at test Milwaukee test...?

Matos, Luyendik, Jr, Battistini, Simmons, Wilson, Alleman and Donso were there, but I missed any reports that Pablo Donso was quickest. So who won practice? I heard Donso and Alleman were the two slowest. Anybody got any times?

Team Moore completed a very successful test session Friday, including Jeff Simmons and the Xtreme Coil Drilling car setting the pace for the day, and the team's introducing driver Pablo Donoso to the Milwaukee Mile in his first drive with TMR. Starting the session, veteran Jeff Simmons logged fifty laps, turning several that eventually proved session quickest of the seven-car test field. Pablo Donoso then stepped into the car and almost immediately turned a series of very quick laps.

Donoso worked with Mark Moore making minor changes to fit Pablo's driving preferences and allow the car to retain its handling over the long haul of a race.

Donoso and the team worked to complete the session with a simulated qualification run and then Donoso capped the day with a simulated race run, completing forty strong laps in the Xtreme Coil Drilling car under race conditions.

Donoso's entire drive was very impressive as his lap times were quick and his execution was very smooth and consistent.
The team now sets sights on the Freedom 100, where TMR plans to run both cars in the May 23 race with Jeff Simmons and Pablo Donoso.

Just What I Thought?

Matos, Battistini and Wilson were all 24.9's. SORRY, Pablo did not win practice, nor was he QUICKEST.........not even close.

Pablo Donoso won the practice (25:18) with Jeff Simmons car.
Raphael Matos hardly crashed. (He's is ok but with a concussion in one hand)

What happened to Matos? I was watching from 3-4:30 and seemed to be doing fine, unless it happened after that, but I left when he stepped out of the car.

I think he/she meant "EXACTLY" what he/she said...........which was "Team Moore Racing's Pablo Donoso was quickest today!."

That is a long way from "in that car" or "compared to the other guy in that car" Sorry, nothing against Pablo Donoso, I just dislike this type of driver-hype.
