Cosworth wasn't associated with a top contender last year so they used their rolls of quarters (or is it pence?) wisely and got a leg up on the competition with their V8.
Right now their advantage is likely as good as it will get and I expect Honda, Toyota, Ferrari, and Mercedes (Ilmor) will close this gap quickly.

...Nico Rosberg really caught my attention and impressed me last season in the GP2 series. I think he's going to quickly develop into one of the more exciting drivers to enter F1 in the past several years.
I'm not expecting a whole lot out of Scott Speed this season other than to just learn and finish races. Impressive though that he was the fastest of the Red Bull cars.a bad day at the race track beats a good day at work
