Here is an update. While it doesn't go into the details of his injuries it does say that they are not serious.

...with Michael accompany him to the hospital it does tend to make you fear the worst.

However it does say his injury/injuries? weren't serious, in fact I've found nothing to this point on 'what' the injury/injuries are.

It also doesn't mention on whether he'll be able to drive.

It also gives no account on what happened. All I've been able to find to this point is that the car somersaulted more than once after leaving the track at the Lesmo corner.

I can't find anything further on this, either. Guess he's okay, but it's afternoon of the next day in Italy and still nothing more in the press. Hm.

It's never a good sign when they return the car under a tarpaulin. That's the international signal for....well you know.

I'm glad to hear he's ok and that he went home to rest it off. Just a further testament to the safety and strength of modern racing machinery.
