  • Way to go Alonso

...not only does he score his first F1 victory, but also gives Renault their first victory in 23 years(as a chassis manufacturer anyway) not to mention being the youngest driver to win an F1 race at 22 years old.

Congrats to Fernando Alonso and the Renault Team.

        Particularly those three young men.

I believe we'll see that threesome on the podium a lot in the future.

        Congrats to Alonso.....

And, although he ain't everybody's favorite....................nice to see Flavio celebrate again.

Spectacular first win. If Renault can give him some more power next year, watch out.

How's that for my 'open season' I talked about a while ago.

8 Different Winners from 5 Different Teams.

Best numbers out of F1 since at least 1997!

As much as I am against the idea of running last year's chassis for part of the current season (ala Ferrari, McLaren), Renault would be really wise to keep this chassis going into next year, and if next years Renault V10 has a bit more power, they will be a championship contending team.

If that points battle doesn't have your heart pumping, check that you're alive.

                Schumi 72
                Montoya 71
                Kimi 70

                It'll be huge.

Most exciting season of F1 in a long while. Renault supposedly has a new engine ready for Monza or Indy. Should make it very interesting. I'm willing to bet that whoever comes out of Monza w/ the points lead will *NOT* win the WDC.

                          I do indeed......

That's why I was asking for confirmation. My family says I routinely hear only what I want to.

USGPIndy.com still has the Thursday date. I presume this was an IMS arrangement with F1, and Thursday would be less hectic in the garages than Saturday.

It's an opportunity that doesn't happen often for the masses. I intend to take advantage of it.
