  • Indiana Picks Meeting

I would like to report that I met with 4 members of team Indiana this afternoon with no arrests and minimal disorderly conduct. We discussed artificial double diffusers, but enough about the waitress...

The consensus was that Red Bull has the constructors wrapped up this year, but the one mole in attendance was not in agreement (and somewhat disagreeable).

A fun afternoon/evening with the lads. We're planning a get together to watch the season opener which will be hosted at Team Kiwi HQ. Who's interested?

I agree with the Mole. I think many folks have A LOT to prove and to atone for, based on how the 2010 season went. So, everyone's (drivers, technical staff, race weekend staff) going to be pressing real hard. I just don't see the same Red Bull result for 2011 given that there are 5 guys who will be attacking all year (and maybe 7 if you include Mercedes). In that 7 are 6 race winners and 4 World Champions. Vettel needs to find that Speed Racer suit and put it on...

8000 miles is just a touch too long of a commute...

My strategic choice of seating allowed me not only unobstructed view of the 4 flat screens behind the bar, but a solid two hours of unobstructed view of the fantastic artificial double diffusers beneath them.

I had a fantastic time with Team Indiana & the Mole yesterday, am definitely looking forward to the 2011 season!

Depends upon whether he was drooling or not...

I will stick with Fred for drivers and RB for constructors, but I would love it if another team beats out RB this year.

One thing hasn't changed: I would still like to give Vettel a black eye.

Man, I'm glad we got there early last night. There were people waiting for tables when I left. Surprising for a Sunday night.
They must have heard some famous race fans were in the house.

I think people were afraid the double D diffusers were going to banned and wanted to check their aerodynamics one last time...

This guy was our waiter. He was very interested in our strategy for the F1 Picks Game this year. I can't put my thumb on it, but he looked very familiar.

I doubt Mopars will recognize him - he was too busy admiring his double diffuser handiwork...

I need to pull my finger out and sort this years competition out.

I've been a bit busy lately, as we're moving from London to Manchester.

I hope to have it all sorted before the season opener.

Just got word that plans have been made for me for brunch the day of the season opener - a family meeting to discuss our upcoming trip to Disney.

The race will be over between 9:30 and 10. Tell them the best time for brunch is 10:15.

Or, you can pay my way and I will be your guide, a brunch meeting won't be necessary.
