  • And I Thought Alonso Was a Sore Loser

Apparently an Italian politician, Roberto Calderoli, was rather teed off that Ferrari didn't win the World Championship and called for the resignation of Ferrari's chairman. Mr. di Montezemolo had this to say:

"When the statesman Calderoli will achieve in his life 1% of what Ferrari has done for this country in terms of industry and sports, then he'll deserve an answer," di Montezemolo said.
Just a WAG, but this appears to be the verbal equivalent of giving him the finger.

Ferrari have said they are "astonished and saddened" by criticism from Italian politician Roberto Calderoli, after he called for the resignation of their chairman in the wake of Fernando Alonso's failure to secure the Formula One title on Sunday.

This reminds me of the politician who wanted congress to do something about the BCS.

        I like di Montezemolo.

Here's a good interview with him if you want to see more of what he is like.

I think his response put an end to this... have there been any further statements from Roberto?

"Ooh woo, I'm a Rebel just for kicks, now
I been feeling it since 1966, now..."
