I met Emerson at the Monterey Historics in 2007. Seemed like an interesting person to talk to. He told me the real story of the photo taken of him after his IMS win (his 1st?). It was the 1st 500 to pay $1mil to win. A bank in Indianapolis was supposed to bring over $1mil for the photo, but they actually brought $1.4mil. I guess that didn't think that it looked like enough...Comment
