I can't wait for Sato to get past him on the start tomorrow."Ninety-two years ago [the Indy 500] was probably like any other race," said 2005 winner Dan Wheldon. "But over time it's just created so many storylines and history for people of our generation that now it's just massive. People value that history and tradition and you just can't take that away."

You are right.
See Bass Vettel is looking strong.
The other See Bass? Uhh, he's out there.IRL 2009: "Cars you can't see, driven by drivers you have never heard of, on a network you don't get"
"I'd hire your grandmother, if she brought a budget"- Bankrupt Indy Car team owner Tyler Tadevic, to Curt Cavin in December, on the tough standards he looks for when "hiring" driver talent.

Wow the season hasn't officially started and Team Indiana are already bending the rules!! I bet they wear red and are flexi and movable also!!
Team kiwi would never resort to such tactics (or least wait until later in the season by which stage I'll likely be trailing badly in the points).

I thought he looked real good at the end would have held them off for sure. His driving looked strong all race and his section times got better as the race went along. 8th place for one point and he got a lot of camera time not a bad start for SB IMO. Most of the field had it alot worse...... lol what was up with all the dnf's.I hate it when people compare Senna with god . . . I mean he is okay, but come on he isn't Senna. . .

...exactly. Obviously unusual attrition helped him greatly as well although 4 back-to-back-to-back CC Championships wasn't earned by mediocre-average skills or driving. Sebastian made a fine showing for himself despite the late motor failure.a bad day at the race track beats a good day at work

I think he certainly exceeded expectations. Not bad for his first F-1 race on a back marker team. Yes, there was a lot of attrition, but there is something to be said for keeping one's nose clean and then driving well when one has the chance. He's definitely going to increase the interest farther down the grid, at least for me.
