The world has larger concerns than just whether or not the race cars go "vroom-vroom."

Hey- He's only doing what most of the hard-core fans are doing, a nostalgia-filled pining for days past that are likely gone forever. Now, how to make an exhibition of speed attractive for more than once to today's kids is a plan that need lots of luck. They do not have rose-colored glasses to filter the view. Indycar seems close on road courses but the P2P defense has got to go.

Agree wholeheartedly. Love Mario, arguably one of the greatest ever, but sounds like an old man complaining that things aren't like they were when he was young. Formula E is the way of the future. Just ask Audi, Nissan, Mercedes, etc. etc.

But could they get rid of the street races and get on real race tracks. (I know, I know, old man complaining.)

            ...
especially when it comes to electric cars, which are quickly taking over the roads of America.
            Really?

Damn, I must be old too because those courses they run on are PONDEROUS.

I like Formula E. but I wish they would showcase tech that involved changing batteries instead of cars. To me, having to change cars shows how limited the tech is. In Nascar, (years ago I know) it looked like a car I could buy. It used fuel I could buy. I can't afford an electric car. I sure as heck can't afford 2 electric cars.

That 'limited tech' came up with a way to do away with the car swap.

I play acoustic guitars on occasion (although having learned on electric I'm kind of sloppy at it). I would play a banjo (it would fit some of our songs and improve my fingerpicking technique). I would play a piano (I used to) or mandolin (Led Zeppelin, anyone?) or a violin (I've always wanted to). I also sing, which requires no other instrument at all. I'm a musician, after all....I love MUSIC, after all, not just one specific style of music.

Just because I play electric doesn't mean I'm irrationally afraid of and closed-minded about something different.

Exactly, couldn't agree more. I'll be watching.
