Listening to the Speedway Radio Network...

Ow... that Wolfman Jack imitator is

    More annoying,

Commercials as of how to download historical audio race reports by going to the IMS.com website and click the history tab.
I need an eyedocter I fear because I don't see a history tab on that site.

      It's under "ABOUT"

Click on "ABOUT" then the history tab.

          Listening to 2020 today.
This one will never be an enjoyable listen for me. I had forgotten that Rahal finished third. My, how things have changed three years later.

The broadcast just sounds weird. Lot's of obviously remote and pre-recorded segments. Strange audio hum on the interviews at times.
"The track will choose who's going to win."

1982 right now. It had a sloppy start with Luke Walton having another face-palm moment in his pre-race interview with Troy Ruttman where he asks, "You were the youngest to win the race and also the heaviest." Paul flubbed the start-line crash by first identifying Johncock as the car that was "moving backward" on the straight instead of Andretti and also having Bill Whittington up against the wall instead of Dale Whittington. The "stay tuned for the greatest spectacle in *sports*" outtro they did that year is a little jarring too. I know the broadcast gets better as the race goes on leading to the dramatic finish, but it was a rough beginning.
