  • Who needs an old Infiniti Pro Series engine? Or a dozen?

Reportedly rebuilt and ready to run, if you supply the ECU. $15k a pop, but I'm willing to bet they'll give you a volume discount.

Can we use these at the 500 for those who can't get one from Honda or Chevy?
"I felt the long-term protection of the "500" depended on a solid series of top level open-wheel, oval track races. To that end, this league was created because CART provided no long-term guarantees to the "500" or to oval track racing."

Or to power the field if something more dire happens. Sandwich a hybrid power unit between this and the transmission and you can make sufficient power.

It's an IPS motor (you know, the predecessor to Lights/NXT) - you can bolt in a crate LS engine from Summit for 1/5 the price and get the same power.

I know exactly what these are (and said as such in the title). Are these not stressed members? I'm all for LSing all the things, but LSs are not structural.

Stressed members for a smaller chassis that would require building the same sort of cage around it to get it to work in DW-12 that any other engine theoretically would. This is beyond the small aspect of "So you want to have engines that pushed smaller cars around at under 200 mph power a current formula car."

I can't speak for TonyGeorgeWasRight, but my comments were a little tongue-in-cheek.
