  • "Johnny Rutherford: The Story of an Indy Champ" by Hal Higdon

Octane Press is selling this book, and I'm trying to decide whether it's worth purchasing.. If you've read it, thoughts?

Unless it's a new version that's a book that came out in 1980. It's basically a kids book.

While I'd love a great bio on Johnny Rutherford, and Hal Higdon has his place as an author... I wouldn't buy it.

J.R. does have an post-retirememt autobiography, Lone Star J.R., written with David Craft. I've thumbed it at a book sale, and it looks like it's at least worth reading.

This is actually a VERY good read, and if you can get a copy, do it.
