I have two of these at the family farm. One is a 58 with a good engine and the other is a 59 with a bad engine.

Nice looking truck in link! Brings back memories

I grew up on a farm also. Had a 1952 Chevy truck.
    Relevance to thread?
It had a 1955 235" six with a four speed (with 'granny' low). Heavy duty package. Partial conversion to the 12 volt system which was new for the 1955 year. Heater motor was still a 6 volt...boy would it turn some rpms with 12 volts applied. Was painted 'seasick green'.

Was also 'autonomous'...load up truck with bales of hay for cows, drive to field. Put 'er in low, inch out the throttle and release the clutch. Climb out of cab and into bed. Toss out hay bales as truck crawled along at about 1.5 mph. Finish up, hop out of bed, walk alongside truck and climb back into cab. Release throttle and carry on.
