Shouldn't that read Alfa, as in Alfa Romeo?

This car was built here in Indy by a guy named Gary Babineau. It is a nice car.
This car features, mac miller built, Watson roadster bodywork.

          humbly yours, mac miller

            What a shameless plug.

Is Gary Babineau the same one that did Roger Ward's #5 1959 Indy 500 winner. I've seen that one close-up. First-rate work throughout.

Mr. grogg,.......Gary Babineau built 3 or 4 Watson replicas but the particular car you are talking about was built by Roger Ward's brother, Ronnie in Calif.. Yes, It is a very nice car.
HA! That car did have one thing in common with the Babineau built cars.....
It also used, mac miller built, Watson bodywork......

Mr. Miller....are your Watson body components aluminum or 'glass ? I'm mainly interested in the nose.

You know, my birthday's coming up, so if mac miller were truly a nice man, he'd build me that Watson dirt car I've been wanting so badly these last few years.

Not as a conversation peice mind you, I'm headed for the track with it!

mac, what you do is truly a lost art.

I wish there were more of it in racing today.

It depends which # 5, you are talking about. The real car, is still around. It was the same car Bettenhausen Sr. was killed in. Doug Stearly kept it in his possession, and it was restored in the late 70's or early 80's. I believe the car is in a museum someplace now.

To SJ : The bodywork, I make, is 'glasss. Of the 23 roadsters that Watson
built there was only one aluminum tail (the '56 Flaherty winner).
Half of the noses were alum and half were 'glass. The famous
shark shaped nose was created by Watson's aluminum ace,
Wayne Ewing for the '59 season. The custom Watson bodywork
featured on the Agajanian #98 and Foyt's car in '63 and '64 were
built by Roger Beck in Calif.

To Ballanger : Oddly enough, I do have molds to build the bodywork for the
Watson championship dirt cars(HA! The real champ cars).

I'm currently building some new bodywork similar to the Kurtis 500G
                      roadster ('58 O'Conner Sumar Spl.)

Check out some of the stuff I build at:

Would you care to build a 1/25 scale version of someone else's KK500G?

HA!! I was one of those kidswho ruined every model car kit I ever had by melting it with too much glue or trying to paint it. Trust me, you don't want me trying to build a model car......

What about fabricating the parts so that I could build it?
