  • Hey, Web Page Up Dated

A long time ago I made my first trip to Daytona and learned a little about NASCAR Grand National racing.

Those good old boys are pretty nice people.

    Thanks, Dick!

How many coyotes are you feeding now?

Very good story, Dick. It gets across a feeling about the time. Great time to be there...and lots of good people to be there with.

Johncock's quote sums up what I'm sure most of us appreciated most about those days.

        Thanx A Million

Great shots of the bear, k/o...better get your addy to him asap.

Hey Dick, maybe those bear shots could be included in your next Ramblings, how about it? I know I sure enjoyed seeing them.

Allmost forgot, Another great Ralstin story. Thanks Dick.
It wouldnt let me in with the address you supplied in your message. I had to do a search for it to finaly get in.
I just went back to your site and pulled up the Coyote picture,
Lo and behold that darn Coyote was right smack dab in the middle of that picture, Of course this time I down loaded it and blew the darn thing up to see it. Old eyes sure dont work like they used to.

Good to see you still popping in here, Ralstin.

Just don't let your guard down with bears around. They're an unpredictable lot.

Which leads me to my favorite bear story.

A guide gave this tip to some hikers who were going to be hiking through bear country.

“Sew tiny little bells on your clothing so the bear’s will hear you approaching. In that way you won’t come upon them and startle them.”

The hikers ask “How will we know when we’re walking through bear country?”

The guide responds, “You’ll see bear sh-t on the ground.”

To which the hikers ask, “But how will we know it’s bear sh-t?”

Guide “Look closely. You’ll see tiny little bells in it.”

Here we have 3-wide into his first full day of semi-retirement (Congratulations!!!), and already he's working on a new career of stand-up comedy.

              Eag

ps: I should'nt be surprised, though...from someone who looks that much like George Carlin!

Eag! Carlin lookalike or not, I don't think I'm cut out for comedy. You're the only guy laughing in this vast Nostalgia audience.

Thanks for the congrats. Lovin' retirement already!

                  3-wide:

It only gets better. It's been 15 months since I pulled the plug, and NOT ONCE have I woke up and said "Gee, I sure miss going into work!"
