Hello,
I recently acquired a "trophy" dish with said words inscribed on the front. It is a sterling silver dish made by Gorham. I was referred to this forum for more possible answers as to it's origin and connection with the Indy 500. Below are photographs of the piece. I apologize if it is difficult to read as it is tarnished to some degree and I was unsure if I should even attempt to polish it.
I'd greatly appreciate any feedback, specifically pertaining to it's origin & history. Thanks so much!
