  • Robby Gordon in at Atlanta.

Robby near the back. but made it in again. How many races before they start using this seasons top 35 in points? I think's it starts after race number five? One more to go if that's true. He probably could actually fail to qualify next race and stay in the top 35 but hopefully for us RG fans that won't happen.

Robby has been claiming that he could qualify better once he's in the top 35 for sure. I don't see how but that's what he says. I would think he could work sooner on race setups though, which would help.

Looks like the Dodge is the hot setup to have at Atlanta. Five in the top ten. Bill Lester is in a Dodge and qualified a solid 19th.
Got to watch out for those Libertarians - they want to take over the government and leave everyone alone!

(No mean feat - Bill outqualified 33 other Cup opponents)

I was impressed. I expected him to maybe just squeek in, but he left no doubt. Also was about the middle of the dodge cars. I think 14 qualified and he was about 7th of the Dodges.

He has to run very conservative qualifying laps so he doesnt get loose or slip or stick it in the fence, hence, if he knows he is in with the top 35, you can either gamble with qualifying or throw away qualifying, its up to you.

I love it all, from the first to the last day in May. The moment that race starts is always the greatest moment of my life, and the day I win that race, it will be as if my life has ended. There is nothing more I could want out of life."

Robby was 7th in happy hour practice. Maybe he'll move up as quickly as he did at Vegas.
