Mine were the 1970s Superbird and Daytona Charger. Not as many people were following NASCAR in Indy back then but I think they must have sold half the required sales to qualify for use in NASCAR in Central Indiana... they were all over the place there for a few years before everybody started mothballing them.

In the early 80's there was one Superbird driven around town by a kid, he lifted it up with air shocks to clear big drag tires. Someone in Ft Bragg drove a well-worn Torino Talladega as a daily driver. I just knew those cars were going to be worth something.

They have started to make a little progress in getting the mods to look a little different. The Chevy Monte Carlos from about '86 or '87. They had the high looking roof, tall looking windshield. Still had "holes" where the headlights would go. It looked like a race car.Comment
