Somehow this exit seems to suit Rudd - low key & high class. One of my favorite Brickyards was his win - simply because he wasn't a high profile favorite!

I think Ricky has alot more left in him to win. He got the short end of the stick at Yates, and weve seen the last few years that Rickey was likely OVER performing in that car, even now that they have Roush HP.

If i was Gibbs, Ganassi, or RCR, i would be ringing his phone off the hook. But oh well.

He'll run some more, he's too good to stop.

There are a few guys that still epitomize what's great about stock car racing from an earlier era, and Rudd is one of them.

Bill Elliott, Terry Labonte, Mark Martin... why isn't there a generation of tough guys, guys that made it the hard way, to replace them...

I can find a couple right now that fit the mold, Newman, Kahne, but even with them the skids were greased. Other than that, it looks like a kindergarten out there.

Ricky Rudd. Yeah, I'm looking forward to some more of his style of professional driving...

At times this year he has done as good as possible with a one car team. He reminds me a little of Gordon Johncock in talent and temperment.

Ricky will be missed. As RR said he is one of the remaining guys from what I consider NASCAR's best years of the 80's and early 90's.

                    Is it May yet ?

Back when I was into nascar, I never much cared for the guy.

That said, it is too bad another old timer is leaving.
