Wow! Harvick with the "this is why I'm leaving RCR". Ty Dillon versus Harvick and honestly, minus Martyville contact, Harvick in my humble opinion looks like the bigger toolbox. No reason to part in Dillon's pitbox and invite crew members a free chance to take a shot next to a running racecar and a driver known for making some bad decisions.

With the ugliness aside, congrats to Wallace. It's always cool to see a young kid emote so much over a big league win. Congrats.

I am sure NASCAR loves a black guy winning...drive for diversity! Right on!

If Darrell Wallace Jr. makes it I am going to have a rough time of it. I am not a fan of his.

It has not one iota to do with race. I just did not like the way he treated me and other fans around me on several occasions.

But I feel like it will be one of those situations where no one can not pull against him for fear of the race card.

(FWIW, I don't really pull for a driver until I have had a chance to interact with them or at least see how they interact with other people at the track. It's the same reason I can't stand Rusty Wallace, a fan favorite, but am a big fan of Johnny Sauter, whom everyone else seems to dislike.)

I've always thought that the Rusty Wallace Fan Club was entirely made of people who've never had the misfortune of meeting him.

I thought of him when I saw Tin Cup:

"he hates old people, he hates children, and he hates dogs."

That's is your right. Anyways, I was at one point thinking he was being Overhyped because of his race. Jeb Burton always seemed a bit better, I guess I understand why NASCAR is doing it and yeah they did need diversity, well congratulations Darrell you did it. We will see how he will do against Chase Elliott, Jeb Burton, and the rest of the young guns in the next few years, race can open a few doors, but after that he has to earn his way.

              Just curious, what happened?

Darrell Wallace, Jr. has rapidly become my favorite driver in the Trucks (I did not get SPEED/FS1 until recently, so I wasn't able to really follow much before recently). His driving is just so, so exciting to watch. He came across well in his interviews, too, or at least I thought so. There were things in the past I didn't always like with him, but he looked to be growing up a lot. It's so fun to see him win. I think I have finally found who I will support when Bobby Labonte finally goes his way...

              And I'd like to add:

Sprint Cup will be very fun when Wallace, Blaney, Burton, the Dillons, Stenhouse, Larson, Suلrez (I promise), Kwasniewski, etc. are in it. Not fans of all of them, of course. But they're the future...

...and I just hope that those of them in the Truck Series now, or in K&N and potentially future Truck Series drivers, hang around in the Trucks a while. Oh, it'll be great when they are in Cup, or Nationwide. But the Trucks race so well, and that's where I really want to see them all race. I know Burton's back next year, and with Blaney part-time in NNS, I figure he is, too. I'd like to see Wallace around, and Suلrez promoted. Sounds like Kwasniewski is headed to NNS directly, and obviously the Dillons and Stenhouse have their big plans. Larson, too.

But keep some of the talent in CWTS, even if just for another year. It's the best place to watch the talent because the racing really does happen.

Arnd, I was at multiple K&N East events for the on-track autograph sessions and watched his interaction with the fans.

All drivers are prima donnas but he took it to the extreme. Barely made eye contact with anyone, was lucky to get an "OK" or "yeah" when someone asked a question or wished him well, refused all pictures, refused to sign any other item than his own promo cards. The kicker for me was when he carried on a conversation with a guest of his and didn't even look down when he was signing items - it was up to the fan to hold their card under his pen for him to sign. It was completely rude and unacceptable behavior for someone who at the time had maybe two K&N wins under his belt. Having neither a deep wallet or a large chest I can understand myself getting the short end but to be rude to little kids and old geezers is pretty bad. This behavior was repeated everywhere I saw him - Martinsville, Greenville, and the Stadium.

And I am someone who is usually pretty sympathetic to busy drivers, and if you go sticking your pen under someone's nose when they are in the suit and obviously on their way someplace you can expect that response and it is excusable. And if you are someone like Michael Schumacher or AJ Foyt, you've pretty much earned your right to treat people how you want for better or worse (although AJ was very gracious the time I met him, never met Schumi). But for a lower tier driver to act that way during a sanctioned autograph session is to me inexcusable - and it was especially notable because so many of the other drivers were great with the fans.
