Yeah, I need to look at that again on DVR, we were at friends and on their TV... it didn't look like Ricky actually hit him, just took air off the spoiler.

Thing about those "'89, '90, and '91 races" is that then there weren't as many teams capable of winning and there for sure wasn't the driver talent we enjoy today. The more equal playing field makes the racing a little more boring for sure. But hey, #48 didn't win and "crapshoot who wins" seems by definition more interesting than the forgone conclusions of the not so good old days. Except for a few like Ron Bouchard, of course.

It's good for all of us to remain aware and try to avoid the "older we are the better we were" syndrome.

              Richard Childress' talent?

Of course he was once hired by Dale Earnhardt to drive for his team. Don't think he was a pay driver, do you? Maybe Dale was more "liberal" than you think?

Recorded the race and only just now finished it. Definitely an anti-climatic finish. When I saw that the inside lane wasn't moving up late, I thought it was really setting up for a great finish (for me as a Dale Jr. fan) I also thought that it would not surprise me if Austin Dillon ended up stealing the win. If McMurray was able to side-draft Jr.as he was going by and slow him up, Dillon may have ended up in the catbird seat. Needless to say, I was little bit disappointed at the end.

Congrats to Jamie McMurray though. It was great to send him enjoying victory lane with his kids. I know he appreciated it, because you never know when or if you ever get that chance again.

Like me, I love the traditional old sitcoms, not the reality tv stuff today.
I know that I am the dying breed of the "old nascar" fan.
                      Yep, that's racing...

Yes, all those starts in JUNK. He won hundreds of short track races around here, and won a bunch of Sportsman (now Nationwide) races too. Just because you can't win with the hand you were dealt in CUP, that does not represent a talent or a driver's overall record. Bet you had fun looking up those CUP stats on racing-reference, huh?

Yeah, your right Robby. I thought of that after I pushed enter on the post. Them boys got nothin from their Daddy (thankfully). Yes, he is far and away a better paper pusher than he ever was behind the wheel.
