It sure sounded like Alan Bestwick, after promoting the big wreck forever and a day...was disappointed.
    Sorry Alan.

DP never disappoints...like in the other series/group...

      Change the Tracks?

The only "cure" for racing @ Daytona & Talladega is to knock the banking down to about 10 degrees.

I did not say 1980, dear sir. Please read my post again. I mentioned the early restrictor plate era 1988-1993, before this was a spec series, and the cars ran spread out in groups of 2 or 3, and there would be 5 or 6 guys who could pass and run good all day. When your so ready to troll, please know your facts before you do so. Thank you.

And Jarrett kept going on and on about them guys not being able to keep running as they were, what race was he watching? Those cars were glued to the track all race long. I knew with out a "NASCAR caution" they were going green to the end.

A zillion passes for the lead is impossible. I understand there were over 50 passes for the lead among 28 drivers.

I have no problem with the follow the leader stuff...that's what I grew up watching with nascar...much follow the leader racing. If those fans would be disappointed, sorry for their twisted view of what racing is.
Like me, I love the traditional old sitcoms, not the reality tv stuff today.
I know that I am the dying breed of the "old nascar" fan.

Watching the ESPN wrap up...Ricky Craven would be a GREAT play by play announcer. He's well polished and intelligent about racing and strategy.

I am a "Old traditional NASCAR fan", and after being on here for so many years, I thought you'd of seen that cbreeze. It was follow the leader, but there was still passing. There was no passing today. All I said was, had we went that would of been the expectation of how the race would shake out. I don't think anyone, even NASCAR figured it'd be one big 40 car snake the second half of the race, that was my point I was trying to reach.

He does very good on the Busch races. He'd be much better than Jarrett that just says the same stuff every race, all the time. We already have Petree for that. Craven is much like Hobbs, Harrett or even Hayes. he explains things, and with perspective much deeper than guys do today.

I was with his first cousin for awhile. She was raised by Darrell and Stevie early on...The Evans side of that family has a lot of mental illness in it, and that kind of explains both Michael and Darrell's "odd" qualities.

                          Aloha Buddie,,,

He is simply one of the best,,, ever...

Another one that is great is "Hermie",,, Kenny Wallace,
but Kenny doesn't have the command of the English
langue, like Ricky... But Kenny is one smart character,
by far the best Wallace on TV...

Sorry, thought you wanted the plates gone. I'm sure NASCAR would like to not have to deal with all the rules they have to keep the cars on the track and not flying like kites.

Hey I miss Awesome Bill schooling them all too. But I got over it. Nothing I can do about it except quit watching?

Agreed, I'm not gonna stop watchin either, racing has been a part of my life since day one. I too have learned to live with what racing gives us now. It just seems those 1989, 1990 and 1991 races at Daytona and Talladega for me were just right...I still reference that as what Superspeedway racing should be. It's ok to be ok with what's going on today, but desire something just a little better that would work now. No harm, no foul KTM.
