Remember one of those old WWII movies where the German interrogater would say, "We have ways of making you talk"?
NASCAR has ways of making you understand, or at least they used to. As far as back in 1966, I can recall chief inspector Norris Friel telling Harry Hyde he wanted the quarter glass in the K&K 1965 Dodge to roll up and down. We were a rookie team, and we'd heard they had a way of making new teams understand the pecking order. Harry looked over at the car parked next to us in the garage and said, "Mr. Friel, the quarter glass won't roll up and down in this one."
Mr. Friel's reply was, "I'm not inspecting THAT one. I'm inspecting THIS one."
“I've got one thing I've got to say,” Scott Henderson (President of 5-Hour Energy) said. “There's been a lot of talk about integrity. I wonder about integrity.
You wonder about integrity??? It was your driver that spun intentionally. Ask him about integrity. Or maybe you were questioning if you couldn't win even after giving away YOUR integrity in trying to change the outcome of the race.
to me he looks like a guy who would compromise his
integrity,,, and use it to sell product.
Bingo,,, One For You Too...
I would think, 5 Hour would appreciate NASCAR's interigerty,
they kept his car in the "Mix", when some would think
the 15 Car should be out.... NASCAR protecting all the
sponsors, doing their best, in a very trying situation...
No Winner's in This Mess,,, None, Absolutely None...
This is like a case of Herpes, this little "dust-up" is
going to keep giving,,, for years to come....
What makes no sense is saying that he has to make sure he wins in a sport where he questions the integrity of the owner. If he thinks so little of Brian France why would he have his company spend so much money in the sport Brian owns? If he doesn't view NASCAR as fair competition to me he looks like a guy who would compromise his integrity to use it to sell product.
“I've got one thing I've got to say,” Scott Henderson (President of 5-Hour Energy) said. “There's been a lot of talk about integrity. When the guy who is in charge can say, 'I can do whatever I want, I'm going to do it and I just did it,' I wonder about integrity. I've got to make sure we can win in this sport."
