I think that's right. The trouble with sports journalists these days (indeed most journalists) seems to be that they wish to be friends with the people they report on. A good reporter should be able to keep some distance in order to say what needs to be said.

I have no particular thoughts on whether Kyle is good or bad, but at least he isn't up NASCAR's, the drivers' and the teams' fundamental orifices like so many others are.

Bingo,,,, Don't waste your breath, Kyle.

In the off season Denny might want to think
about,,, at what point in time do you get off
the throttle, instead of trying to center punch
the car that just spun you... Trying to get back
at Joey,,, might of cost Denny this season,,,

I was glad to see Kyle did admit getting the quote incorrect though.

Kyle Petty says he was wrong on his assessment, but, a good article on the outspoken commentator.

Kyle is paid to put a stick in there and stir up the feces a little. At least that is part of his paying gig and he's pretty good at it. Past lumanaries of this trade include Jimmy Spencer, Kenny Wallace, and from time to time, none other than good 'ol DW. It is just that those three guys are likeable.

I can see where being on a team with Kyle Busch is tough for a guy like Hamlin because he's so fast.

I figured bringing in Kenseth would be a positive for Hamlin to try and mirror a guy who is fast but has that very low key veteran mentality and consistency.

So far it is only making Kenseth look good.....

Kyle must have thought Hamlin was a female.

It seems to me that Denny broke upstairs in Phoenix during the Chase about 3 years ago.

To be honest, not knowing anything about this Petty thing, I felt that Denny may be on the outside looking in real soon after watching him yesterday. His attitude also seems a bit different to me. He might be damaged goods.
But then again, guys stick around a long time in this sport way past their prime.

Kyle gets a lot of flack because he's not as politically correct as others. I don't think you can question though his knowledge of the sport and the business of NASCAR.
