This has to be one of my favorite paint jobs from the 1980s
Kyle came oh so close to beating DW at Dover in this era. Pretty sure it was in these 7/11 colors. The crowd was going nuts as he hadnt won a Cup race yet. Kyle finshed in 2nd a few feet behind DW.
DW didnt win any fans over that day!

Here's Mark's Team pulling into the garage area in 1982. We raced against Mark in ASA in the Midwest. He was known as Mark "The Kid" Martin.

Kyle finished 2nd to DW in 1982 in the #42. He finished 3rd twice in the #7 at Dover in 1985 and 1986. Based on Top 5's, Dover, Rockingham and North Wilkesboro were his best tracks.El Grillo CantorComment
