Have the smart teams been working on motors with smaller plates just in case NASCAR made changes after they all arrived? Given the talk heading into Daytona this year, it would seem to be the prudent thing to do.

Restrictor Plate Question

Im gonna guess they build the engines with some wiggle room built into them for different plate sizes.
They have to assume that there will be at least a chance of NASCAR changing the plate size sometime during Speedweek but they really cannot guess what the new size will be so it would be a random guess to try and build engines specific to a particular size restrictor plate
Probably can adapt to different size plates with different carb jets and different intakes and larger/smaller radiator openings but thats just some guy with internet access taking a guess
Theres people here that actually know the correct answer to that questionLive like Dave
