  • Hamlin justifiably upset!

How many times this year has a Gibbs car dominated a race and ended up down in the rundown at the end? The post race interview showed Denny upset at his team's strategy. He made some good points. It's happened to Kyle also during the past seasons. Maybe the crew chief's are a weak link...
He could have had a nicer cushion, but now things are close going into the finale.
I see a problem with the team. They don't seem to make those strategic winning moves that Hendrick does.

Ole DW seems to be trying to pulling mind games in the media for Hendrick. Maybe it's his true opinion, but I don't understand his motivation. He's off the tube so he should shut it and let it play out.

BTW, Denny, with his knee surgery this year, has done a great job. Strong when it counts, no backing in and running up front to win. That's the way a championship run should be. Criticize the Chase, but it seems to work out that way. Good for NASCAR.

I don't see him making up enough points at Homestead to overcome his 70 point deficit behind JJ to take away 2nd place, let alone the 365 point deficit he has to make up to overtake Harvick for the season championship.

    Oh, wait a minute, nevermind...

I'm with you, but I think from a strategic standpoint a lot of guys would have run a lot of races differently. We don't really know that the classic points structure reflects what the reality would be if they settled it the (good) old-fashioned way.
