  • Why isn't Montoya doing better?

Title says it all. Does his team suck, or is he just unable to adjust to cars without the precision of what he's used to racing? It's about time for a breakout season, and this doesn't look to be it.

I didn't think he was doing that bad considering most of the guys he's up against have been driving these types of cars for years............

With the car change to the COT I think it would be more difficult for him since the established drivers are having trouble and their feedback would be limited.............

NASCAR's tough. You don't just show up, and go to the front of the pack, like you can in Indy Cars or F1. There, its ALL about the teams and the budgets. Not totally that way in NASCAR.

He'll make a nice, healthy career from being a midpacker. And, he'll be a front-runner on the 2 novice road races each year. Just don't ever expect him to be a "Chase" contender.

"about time" ... in his 2nd year with a mid-pack team?

geez, why not just cut him off 1/2 way through his rookie campaign? that's plenty of time for somone to "breakout" isn't it?

from what i have seen and read, he seems to be exceeding a lot of people's expectations.

            Yep.

                What is "wrong"?

Its ALL about the teams and budgets in Indy Cars and F1.

He has shown that he is a consistant mid-packer.

He has shown that he can compete on the 2 road races.

He will make a ton of money being a midpacker.

                    Nascar: harder than it looks

Despite the shots it takes from OW fans, Nascar is pretty evolved.
Over time, big money always attracts the best talent and flushes the pretenders.
Anybody who thinks the top 10 studs in Nas wouldn't kick butt in IRL is fooling themselves.

Then step up to the plate and tell me where I am wrong.

                      We're waiting....

                          I thought so.

If you are going to call people out about how "clueless" they are, you better bring more than that weak stuff. Pretty stupid comment, in MY OPINION.

I already stated it. It is your opinion what will become of Montoya

Which has been proved time and again not to be worth much.

                              And it's not in Nascar?
