    MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic To Be Cablecast Nationally On ESPN2 On Friday

    INDIANAPOLIS - Masters Entertainment Group has announced the 1st Annual MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic will be cablecast on ESPN2 at 3 p.m. (Central) on Friday. This one-hour long program will showcase the 40-lap Midget and 40-lap Sprint Car features, and will highlight both the Ford Focus competition and 600 Racing Legends Car Invitational held Dec. 2, 2005 at the Orlando SpeedWorld.

    A repeat broadcast of the MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic will air at 12:30 p.m. Eastern Time on March 12.

    Stephen Cox will anchor the ESPN2 broadcast, with expert commentary provided by Larry Rice, former USAC National Midget Champion and the 1978 Indy 500 Rookie of the Year. Doc Riley will handle pit reporter duties.

    The MOPAR PRI Sprint & Midget Classic was produced in conjunction with the 18th Annual Performance Racing Industry Trade Show, which is the world’s largest racing trade show. It was held Dec. 1-3, 2005, at the Orange County Convention Center, in Orlando. More than 42,000 racing entrepreneurs from 40 countries attended the Show, which has 1,400 companies exhibiting the latest advances in auto racing technology.

    Masters Entertainment Group specializes in covering the automotive and motorsports industries, and has over eight decades of combined experience in all aspects of the performance and aftermarket industries. Masters Entertainment Group produced the first weekly motorsports program for ESPN2 with its groundbreaking “Inside Drag Racing” series. The company currently produces over 300 national programs a year — 200 of which are for ESPN2. It also produces shows for ESPN, the Outdoor Channel, Spike and the Outdoor Life Network.

    Why couldn't it have been the Chili Bowl?

      Believe there has been achange in the time this will be shown. ESPN2 now lists it as a 4 P.M. showing. Suggest you check your local listings.

      Something about a snowmobile event being shown at 3 P.M.

        Yes, at 3:00 PM, here in the East, they show Snowmobile racing. At 4:00 PM, they show the World Series of Poker. Hmmmm?
