Xtreme Xcitement Racing Association announces two race dates for 2006

    Kokomo, IN (11-3-05) –

There’s a NEW choice in the world of pavement midget racing…Xtreme Xcitement Racing Association (X2RA) is very excited to announce two racing dates for the 2006 season at the “World’s Fastest High-Banked Quarter Mile Oval” at Anderson Speedway in Anderson, IN. These 2006 dates are Saturday, June 10th and Saturday, September 9th. Times and purse payouts will be released at a later date.

“We couldn’t be happier with this tremendous opportunity from the great people at Anderson. Its central location and track size fits perfectly within our series objectives. Plus, our innovative racing formats will change the landscape for both the Anderson fans and the many, many midget teams near Anderson and all over the Midwest,” added Don Lambert, President and Race Director of X2RA.

X2RA is a new, open-wheel racing organization based in Kokomo, IN headed by President and Race Director, Don Lambert. He brings tremendous experience from his days of being both a crew member and car owner in both the winged and non-wing sprint car ranks of USAC, AVSS, and HOSS. He spent (2) years as a crew member for Gregg Staab and was a part of (6) USAC championships with Steve Butler. In the (8) years since becoming a car owner in 1997, his teams have earned or have been a part of (3) championships and (1) Rookie of the Year award. In 2005, his driver, Tim Cox, won the HOSS championship and had (5) feature wins and finished 2nd in the Little 500 at Anderson Speedway. His partner, Jimmy Baumgartner, is the Vice President of Marketing for X2RA. Along with over (15) years of sales and marketing experience in the non-racing world, he has also helped his little brother, Dave, and brother-inlaw, Gary Harrell, in their midget racing pursuits over the past (9) years.

X2RA is reaching out to the scores of midget racing teams who are just looking for a competitive racing series without going broke. But, also, a series with a strong, series-first atmosphere without conflicts of interest. The response thus far has been overwhelming.

Please check our website (www.X2RA.com ) for further schedule updates and series information. If you would like to know how to join or support X2RA, please e-mail [email protected] . You can also call Don or Brenda Lambert at 765-457-4267 or Jimmy Baumgartner toll-free at 866-302-5341. Okay. I'll bite.
What does he mean when he says "X2RA is reaching out to the scores of midget racing teams who are just looking for a competitive racing series without going broke"... Does this refer to motors that cost more than the total of first place purses for the season?? And if so, how does his series avoid the high costs??
Or this ..." But, also, a series with a strong, series-first atmosphere without conflicts of interest." What does this refer to??
And doesn't the Ford Focus series address both of these issues?
