With the weather so nice, I had the itch for one more sprint race before seasons end, so I made the trip 1 1/2 hours north to CMS, a track I had never been to. Doug Berryman #1B won the 25 lap feature for the 305 Winged Sprint on Asphalt race at Columbus Motor Speedway on 10/18.There were 20 cars on hand, quick time went to Don Townsend Sr. at 12.180 seconds. This was resheduled from 10/4, and was run with a two day program for Mods, Late Models and Super Late Models, but the sprints program was all run on Saturday. First visit to this facility, which is very nice, a weekly NASCAR racing track. Stock cars qualifed and ran heats, with the balance of the program Sunday. NAMARS and USAC have run here in the past with midgets. It was a bit cold, but the evenings events ended at 9:30.

Thanks for the info. Never been to Columbus Motor Speedway, but it's on my "to do" list for 2004.
