If Indy car owners keep waiting for all the good, young American talent to "prove themselves" worthy of an Indy car ride, there won't be any talent left - it will all be in NASCAR.

Yep. ARCA is a big step up from IPS. Hope he does well.

Now, one must wonder: Will Aaron leave the Open wheel cars for the taxicabs? Everyone has noticed the success that the Open Wheel guys have had in NASCAR. Well, at least a great percentage of them have been succesfull. They say the guys are "RACERS", and they want to RACE, right? The Taxicabs run just about every week. IRL, twice a month? Then if you are in the IRL, you might not be able to go run midgets, sprints or Silver Crown cars, to take up the "slack". In a way, guess we can't relly blame them for leaving OW.

Did his Daddy make all his legal proplem go away yet? He might be damaged goods right now. And if your wondering. His DWI early this year was a little more serious then just a few drinks.
The 2006 Silver Crown Champ will be aFormer USAC Champion!

Exactly. NASCAR respects them for being racers and winners - Indy racing doesn't. It isn't difficult to understand why they keep going to NASCAR. Every one of NASCAR's national divisions gives these guys an opportunity to do what they have always wanted - be a full-time professional race car driver. And NASCAR's top division lets them be at the pinnacle of world racing earning power (on average). Not a tough choice.

I work with kids that age. They are prone to do stupid things. The real measure is whether they learn something afterward. I (and most people) are willing to accept one mistake from a young man. If he didn't learn anything, we will know soon enough.
