Always fun to watch guys you used to race with do well on TV - at least on Speed News. That wiggling, aggressive move he made to take the lead looked VERY familiar to me...

Dirt is the great equalizer. It can make a good driver bad, but it won't make a bad driver good. Same with equipment.
Not a bad run at all for a guy who is competing against a team with all Winston Cup equipment, while Doug has nothing near that.
Doug ought to win one of these things one day, he's come so close. And I think had he won Sunday, it would have been more popular than Kimmel's win.
There were several boos, which I guess comes with winning all the time.

Had to be from winning all the time, because, from all indications, Frank Kimmel is one nice guy. [/B][/QUOTE]
He's a super guy.
And Keller is constant comedy to be around.
Incidentally, his cars are ex-Gibbs stuff from a couple of years ago. Not great, but not bad. The cars are actually good enough to be top-10 or top-5 ARCA superspeedway (non-plate) cars, but Doug doesn't have the bucks to run the superspeedway.

However, had Bob Strait won that race, the house would have been up for grabs.
That's what makes these races so special-local guys can get some decent equipment, and run up at the front. It brings people in the stands.
Shame the IRL hasn't figured that part of the equation out.
