Boone, IA IMCA spectacle

Going on right now is little guy Mecca: IMCA Supernationals week at Boone Speedway. 300-400 modifieds alone, along with several other classes. Not big payouts, and top finishing motors get claimed by the SANCTIONING BODY and auctioned off, but it's all about making the final on Saturday. Love hearing stories about it from my coworker--has to be seen to be believed. Sounds less like Knoxville or Runoffs and more like Woodstock. Really deserves more press. Anyone ever been there?
