Dang you beat me to it. CART championship was also more important to him than Indy.

        To each their own.

There are many, many drivers who would disagree with him.

Wasn't he talking about "the first win" in any situation being "good"? That is, his first CART win, his first Indy win, his first Monaco... each one getting better along the way?

I had the program on, but there were distractions.

I did like Despain's comment, about "how nice it is to work for a network that listens to its customers". I think Dave has fun on his program

I wonder if Juancho would like another Indy win on Sunday?

****, Bird, what did I ever do to you?

Juan's biggest career mistake was at Indy 2000 - you shouldn't let women into victory lane unless you're engaged to them.

So does Michael Andretti, who won Long Beach twice, but never won Indy.

I wonder if he would trade those Long Beach wins for one at Indy?

Juan's comments come from his perspective and background. It's OK with me if people have differences of opinion.

Jeff Gordon has won quite a lot in NASCAR, but still says he would have appreciated racing and winning at Indy. I don't think less of Daytona for that

                      Oh no.

To be honest, at the time, I was surprised a CART champ couldn't do better.

HA! In 20 years, young juanpablo will have the benefit of historical perspective.

I'd bet that mikeyandretti would trade his one c>rt championship for an INDY 500 win any day.......... I'd, also, bet that jimmy("whoneedsmilk")vasser would trade that "big" u.s.500 win for an INDY 500 win any day.

I'd bet that mickeyandretti regrets his six year boycott of the INDY 500.

Good. I hope he regrets his whole career after the way he bailed from CART.

I spent 12 years rooting for Michael Andretti and four races hoping he wouldn't win a thing. The racing Gods gave Mikey what he deserved at Indianapolis.

I've been an Andretti fan since 1965, and I wouldn't change that based on which series either Michael or Mario raced in at the time - USAC, CART, F1, Porsche Super Cars or IROC.

That would be, in my opinion, stupid.

yeah well Long Beach never offered him year-round free camping so he might see it differently.
