Diaz In For Mexico City ?

Mexican guy (I assume informed on Mexican news) on another forum says Diaz will jump into a 3rd Walker car for Mexico City. Sponsors include Diaz' traditional Telmex, and MOTOROLA and SUN. Don't ask which SUN; the guy didn't elaborate.

If true, it will not only bring the car count up to 20 (the highest since early 2002), but there will be 6 ... count 'em 6 ... Mexicans racing on their home turf.

You are right, ... but SOL is a beer under the umbrella of Tecate's maker (Moctezuma or something like that). Corona (Modelo beers) is their direct competitor.

I'm not saying Walker couldn't pull it off, but it would be weird to have Corona and Sol on the same team. Kinda like a Budweiser car and a Miller Lite car running for the same owner.

Well, they're both personal sponsors brought by their drivers. Corona isn't sponsoring Walker, they're sponsoring Lavin who's giving money to Walker.

Walkers 3rd car may continue for a few races after Mexico as well... with a certain young Canadian in the seat.
