I was looking through the threads about RA, can't figure who won or what happened during the race. Is this a disallowed subject too?

I haven't heard a thing about it. I was hoping you had some info"Each day well lived makes every yesterday a dream of happiness and every tomorrow a vision of hope. Look well therefore to this one day for it, and it alone, is life"
~ Sanskrit poem attributed to Kalidasa, "Salutation to the Dawn"

...rain, rain, rain.
The race started 2-1/2 hours late and ended after only 34 laps of the scheduled 60.
Here's a couple of quotes from RPM.ESPN.com;
Race's long road ends with rain
>>>"The race was disappointing at the very best," Road America president and general manager George Bruggenthies said. "I don't really understand why the race wasn't restarted," Bruggenthies said. "It was a good, wet track condition."
Bruggenthies said the Sunday attendance was down about 40 percent from last year, although he did not give exact figures. Road America stood to lose money on the race, he added.
He blamed the poor attendance on the weather, the dispute with CART and competition from several other events, including NASCAR's Brickyard 400 and the Wisconsin State Fair in Milwaukee.
Road America and CART are under contract to have another race next season, but Bruggenthies said the racing league must figure out a way to differentiate itself if it wants to survive.
"It can't continue like it's going," he said. "It needs something different." <<<a bad day at the race track beats a good day at work

I happened to read on another forum that Chris Kneifel was seen wearing a c r a p w a g o n . com tshirt at the race.
It must make all of the folks that contribute millions of dollars to the black hole known as CART really fuzzy to know that the chief steward of the series is so amateurish and infantile that he would legitimize this fringe organization.
Continue the march towards oblivion.Last edited by rrrr; 08-04-2003, 11:19 PM.
