  • Wastegate keeps sticking, what to do?

    Hello guys....!
My wastegate keeps getting stuck open on the MR2, had to un-jam it about 3-4 times so far.put a brand new actuator on it and hasn't helped so it must be the wastegate itself causing problems.can these be sorted DIY (well, by a normal garage) or is it turbo off and sent to a specialist time? Thanks in advance......!

I know this thread is eight and a half years old, but the above response is too sublime to let pass (no pun intended) unacknowledged.

You've worked so hard on the kidney. Very special -- the kidney has a very special place in the heart. It's an incredible thing. Donald John Trump

You should put your putter away.

Truth told, I don't think I've ever gotten one of these from you, so I'd been feeling like I've been ignored. I can happily retire from TF now.

                  Retire? Nonsense.

                  Retirement is for cowards.
