  • A gold star for Cosworth

Realizing these guys have been around a LONG time.
But they show up and right out of the box run up front and have no failures.
Where are the experts who said they were a year behind the Japs and would never catch up?

Does anyone know what's in the Chevy Cosworth yet? What are the valve angles? Is it a cam and cup valvetrain or does it have the rockers like the Toyota and Honda apparently do? There must be some differences since it certainly seems to have a different tone to it.
Also, is there any chance of someone building their own at this point or is everyone on a lease? Is there any involvement by Speedway Engines? Aside from Hornish it looked like the rest of the Chevy teams might as well have stayed with the Gen III.
