  • Congratulations to the winners in the Indycar struggle

Those members should be allowed to bask in their victory and go on to bigger and better things. After all there are no longer two sides to split the fan base. I am confident they will not stoop to arguing about things like whether or not to bring in engine/chassis and tire wars. Now they will speak with one united voice for the good of Indycar.
Some people will do nearly anything in order to be able to not do anything.

    Congratulations CART fans.
IRL 2009: "Cars you can't see, driven by drivers you have never heard of, on a network you don't get"

"I'd hire your grandmother, if she brought a budget"- Bankrupt Indy Car team owner Tyler Tadevic, to Curt Cavin in December, on the tough standards he looks for when "hiring" driver talent.

That's just it, isn't it - Indy Car fans have a variety of factions and interests and backgrounds and prejudices, and very few are simply in favor of IndyCar as it is.

Many groups have narrowly defined requirements for what they want, and withdraw support rather than attempting to enjoy what they have and work towards the future.

I don't blame them; it's been a long time and they all know what they want, and why. Doesn't help anything, though... 'cept maybe NASCAR, if you're into that sorta thing . A lot of people are.

            Wow - I think you're both wrong

I just wanted to set the record straight and give props where deserved. And I didn't realize my own power and don't want to unfairly use it to work against the wonderful opportunity that the united fans of Indycar have now.

like "winning" a war....a terrible cost was paid....

I hope there is an adeqate "reconstruction" effort (i.e. marketing)

Yes, no doubt a good marketing plan will do the trick. Perhaps a new slogan too.

Hmmm, closely resembles a VIRUS doesn't it.

What irks me (maybe its too soon for the truth), DW was a 16-oval WIN specialist, yet the vast majority those boohooing for him, hardcarders & fans, alike are the same ones trying to kill anything with more than 9 deg banking & 4 corners, where Dan ultimately made his home...
