The media would have OW on ignore long before that time period is up, in my opinion. They are just about there now.

If that actually happens, Howard, there would be no ggreat loss or benefit, as that has been the case now for years. However, given the press coverage of today's event, they have at least gotten a momentary bump that would not have otherwise occurred, so that is a plus.

But we know some things will change.

The car will change.

The fuel may change.

The schedule will definitely change.

Some drivers will move on.

Some drivers will replace them.

Some drivers will come back.

Ultimately the marketplace will decide what stays the same and what doesn't. So we can't logically answer the question starting this thread.

No, but that's no reason to deny a chance for focusing on gloom. Seeing as how there really is no Santa Claus, I suggest we anticipate no Christmas this year. I know the Grinch will be pleased.

I was under the impression that this forum was designed for questions like this...by doing so, such questions would not be addressed on the main IRL/Biz forum...perhaps I missunderstood...

I only wish some of these fans had put as much thought into encouraging TG before the split occurred. Maybe then, they wouldn't be asking what will happen if ratings remain low.

Up until 2002 I put all the time and money I could afford into the IRL...I supported what I thought was the direction AOW racing should go...We bought tickets, and IRL gear...I made suggestions to people who were in the business (a vivid moment in Vegas 1998)...I was looked at like I was a blank wall...

A small matter...I was passing out free hats at TMS...an IRL employee removed me from doing so because I gave two hats to a family...we passed out hero cards at TMS & Vegas...I recall the times we worked in the CREW tent...nothing major, but, supportive...evidently that endeavor was not up to IRL standards...
